Hi there!
This is Rose. She's our new little girl, but not that little. She will be 2 in April and is a sweet kitty. She'll never replace our Dotster, who we still miss everyday. But Rose has settled in so well and so quickly, and she's got a lot of quirks that I haven't seen in cats other then Dorothy.. I haven't had any shoe fish yet, but time will tell.. Even G kind of likes her, and she's only been here 3 and a half weeks!

Still a Patient
Genever got her bandage off today, but she is still in pain, poor little girl! She is happy to have her leg back though.
The Patient
Genever hurt her rear left leg in the wee hours of Sunday morning. She was hopping on 3 legs so we took her to the vet. She's not broken, but...

Dorothy had surgery!
She got her pesky skin tumor removed today, under local anesthetic and sedation. She's a bit wobbly but seems ok. The vet said she was such a good kitty, and super sweet! My girls always make me a proud catmom.

But she wasn't too groggy to join Genever and help me with my accounting project:

Face Wash!
Dorothy jumped up to cuddle with Genever and get her face licked clean too.
But then, Dot decided she had enough!

The Whole Gang's Here
Genever and Dorothy hanging with Mister, the neighbor cat. I think Mister and Genever have a thing going, and Dot got sick of it and decided to walk away...

Dorothy
We decided to name the new cat Dorothy. AKA Dot, Dottie, Polka Dot, Little D. She's a love bug. Genever was hissing a lot the first day, but now, not even a week later, they're kinda sorta playing already! Chasing, that sort of thing. Definitely progress. :)
After Dot's first vet visit, we found out she has hyperthyroid, which is more common in older cats. Vet puts her at closer to 10 years old rather than 5. I don't know, she's got a lot of play in her! Either way we love her, and with daily pills we should be able to get the thyroid under control.

She is definitely settling in quite nicely.
